The Arts and Letters Committee of Joliet Area/South Suburban Alumnae Chapter is proud to present Dr. Jawanza Kunjufu on Saturday, Sept. 10th for an uplifting and inspiring back-to-school discussion on “Educating the African-American Child.” Dr. Kunjufu has been featured in Ebony and Essence Magazines and has also been a guest on BET and Oprah. He has written dozens of books geared towards uplifting communities. This free event is open to students and parents and will be held at Rich South High School, located 5000 Sauk Trail, Richton Park, IL, from 12:30p-2:30p.
